Hi everyone!
It’s been a while since I last shared something new — and I’m excited to finally post a recent personal project I’ve been working on!
This piece is inspired by the film The Creator. I wanted to recreate an entire scene from scratch, using Houdini’s powerful USD workflow and Karma for rendering. It was a challenging journey, but I finally made it.
My hero asset was modeled in Maya, and all the vegetation was created in SpeedTree. I handled texturing in Substance Painter, then assembled and rendered everything in Houdini. I also want to give a big shoutout to my former colleague who helped me with the compositing Mazharul Islam Shuvo
